Chip brings an extensive background in forestry, construction, excavation, logging, and sugaring, providing him with a wealth of knowledge relevant to land management & development. He graduated with a degree in forestry from Paul Smith’s College in the Adirondacks in 1979 and spent many years working in the woods of both New York and Vermont. With further education in marketing and business, Chip has owned and operated multiple former successful business ventures including "Auto Craftsmen" an imported car dealership in Montpelier; a rental property acquisition, repair, maintenance, and management company; and a home renovation business. Chip began investing in real estate in 1990 and currently owns nine properties in the Northeast Kingdom.

Chip comes from central New York where his family owned and operated a dairy farm since the early 1830s. On the family farm is where Chip developed an intense work ethic and the desire to do whatever it takes to “get it done”. On the farm, he developed a comprehensive management plan for 360 acres of woodlands, including a 6,000 tap sugaring operation.

A lifelong lover of all things outdoors, Chip enjoys hunting, fishing, and winter sports and is an avid power boater, sailor, and pilot. He is passionate about real estate and is licensed in both Vermont and New Hampshire. He’s the guy who's going to load you into a snowcat & bring you to the top of the mountain to check out a 500 acre parcel or into one of our fleet of classic boats so you really get to know the lake & waterfront property of your dreams.
