Chip brings an extensive background in forestry, construction, excavation, logging, and sugaring, providing him with a wealth of knowledge relevant to real estate. A born businessman, Chip has owned and operated multiple former successful business ventures including a rental property repair, maintenance, and management company. Chip began investing in real estate in 1990 and currently owns nine properties in the Northeast Kingdom.

Chip comes from central New York where his family owned and operated a dairy farm. On the family farm is where Chip developed an intense work ethic and the desire to do whatever it takes to “get it done”. He graduated with a degree in forestry from Paul Smith’s College in the Adirondacks in 1979 and spent many years working in the woods of both New York and Vermont. While working for the US Forest Service in Colorado, Chip developed a comprehensive management plan for 360 acres of woodlands. With further education in marketing and business, Chip ran several businesses, including Auto Craftsmen, which he sold after 27 years in the industry.

A lifelong lover of all things outdoors, Chip enjoys hunting, fishing, and winter sports and is an avid sailor and pilot. He is passionate about real estate and is licensed in both Vermont and New Hampshire.
